Lucid Motors was founded in 2007 (originally as Atieva) and launched its first vehicle, the Lucid Air sedan, in 2021, emphasizing long electric range and luxury positioning. The Air has recorded some of the highest EPA-rated ranges of any production EV. Lucid builds its vehicles at a dedicated plant in Casa Grande, Arizona, and has expanded its lineup with the Gravity SUV.
