A curated database of South African vehicle specifications compiled and maintained by Cars.co.za. Data is cross-referenced against manufacturer sources before import and includes 12,000+ verified vehicle records.
DSK Disk Drive Legacy Database Historical
A historical database of South African vehicle specifications compiled over 30+ years by Maarten Kronberger. Covers vehicles from the 1970s through to 2020. This is the deepest source of historical SA market data available.
AA South Africa Fuel Prices Live
Current and historical fuel price data sourced directly from the Automobile Association of South Africa. Updated monthly when new prices are announced. Used to calculate running cost estimates on vehicle pages.

US News & World Report Vehicle Database Primary
Trim-level specifications, configuration pricing and quick-spec data for the US new-car market.
NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) Primary
Vehicle safety ratings and CVS (Chassis/Vehicle Specification) dimensional data, sourced from the US Department of Transportation's public vPIC and safety databases.
EPA Fuel Economy Data Primary
Official city/highway/combined mpg ratings from the US Environmental Protection Agency's fuel economy database. Coverage is being extended across the catalog on an ongoing basis - not every model has this data yet.
Openverse Images
Commercial-license-filtered vehicle photography sourced via the Openverse API, manually reviewed before publication rather than assigned automatically.
Data Quality Standards
All specifications go through an automated validation process before publication. Values that fall outside plausible ranges for their field are flagged for manual review. Range values (e.g. boot volume with and without seats folded, or width with and without mirrors) are stored as separate fields to prevent data corruption.
